Professional Statement
Dr. Jiwani's clinical expertise is in interventional pulmonary and thoracic oncology. He focuses on patients with benign and malignant airway and parenchymal lung disorders and pleural diseases. He offers minimally invasive diagnostics and therapies for lung nodules and airway diseases (including hemoptysis, fistula, tracheobronchomalacia), relief and management of airway obstructions (including from foreign bodies, benign and malignant tumors), bronchoplasty for chronic asthma, management of pleural effusions, and percutaneous tracheostomy placement. He has a particular interest in lung cancer screening, diagnosis & staging, the development of minimally invasive lung cancer biomarkers as well as benign airway stenosis. He holds a masters in bioinformatics and participates in nationwide lung cancer studies.
