Professional Statement

As Director of Women’s Comprehensive Care Center at Baylor College of Medicine, I have worked towards creating a women’s health track for medical students and a women’s health elective for residents to promote women’s health education and awareness. After eight years of practice, I have seen thousands of patients with gender specific disorders and provided consultations for female hypoactive sexual disorders, vaginal atrophy, menopausal, hormonal, fertility disorders, which have led to the creation of a database to retrieve information for meaningful research and publications. I have conducted interdisciplinary collaborations with gynecology, urology, breast center, dermatology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and endocrinology departments to streamline patient care for a variety of women’s health disorders and to minimize external referrals. Currently, I am receiving referrals from various disciplines at Baylor to provide consultations for functional medicine to the most complicated patients with autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.
